chipIn order to allow water to flow back to the outside with this rain/flood seal, the seal boss must be placed on the inside , under your garage door (see last image of the product sheet)

chipIts shape allows the passage of vehicles, wheelbarrows, etc. without significant jolts.

chipThanks to its flexible material and shape, it adapts better to ground irregularities and covers an 8 cm wide strip on the ground.

chipTo be cut to your liking using a cutter

chipGrooved underside for easy gluing

chipTo be glued to the floor ( glue sold separately). Do not screw the joint to the floor, which would create holes allowing moisture to pass through.

This seal can also be installed inside your garage, around the location of your car to retain rain and snow that melts once inside.

Water-stop threshold seal installation steps

1. Before installing your garage door threshold seal, make sure the threshold is clean and free of dust, oil or grease.

2. Measure the distance between the outside edges of the garage door tracks and then cut the threshold seal to this length.

3. Present the threshold seal against the rails on each side, to best mark the cuts to be made so that the seal matches the shape of your rails if these block the insertion of the seal.

4. Place your seal in the desired position and close your garage door to validate the correct position of the seal on your threshold. Daylight should no longer be visible.

5. Once you have found the ideal position for your threshold seal, make a mark with a pencil along the edge of the seal on the inside.

6. Open your garage door and then make the same mark along the other edge of the seal on the outside.

7. Then remove the gasket and draw two parallel lines approximately 15mm inside the existing lines

8. Apply the mastic glue in a zigzag line inside the drawn parallel lines.

9. Before fitting the threshold seal, use a dry cloth to remove any dust, grease or dirt from the bottom of the seal. Then, starting at one end, place the threshold seal on the adhesive and press firmly, ensuring good contact at all points. Remove excess adhesive from the sides with a clean cloth immediately, before the adhesive sets.
You can also apply adhesive around the door tracks to form a watertight seal on the sides that will prevent any water infiltration as much as possible.

10. Once the installation is complete, wait 24 hours before crossing the threshold to allow the glue to dry.

For the installation of this seal we recommend the polyurethane glue below:
