Attention, this is only the trolley part with the release string, the trolley part with the chain is sold separately.
In order to replace the external carriage of your motor, you have to disassemble the rail with the chain. To carry out this replacement, the easiest way is to stand on trestles, you will avoid tiring work at arm's length at height.
1. Unhook the arm connecting the motorized trolley to your garage door.
2. Remove the motor head from the ceiling mount.
3. Do the same with the rail fastening on the lintel.
4. Place the assembly on trestles to slacken the chain: at the end of the rail you will find the chain tensioner with a nut and the compression spring.
5. Once the chain has been slackened, remove the motor head and then take out the carriage (the inner part of which is just connected to the chain by two quick-release fasteners).
6. Repeat these steps in reverse to reinstall the motor.
